Indoor Environments 2025

As part of the co-supervision of a CIFRE PhD thesis with SNCF on air quality in underground railway stations,
L’Hypercube contributed to a scientific article focused on the analysis of air quality measurement data.

A Method for Evaluating the Efficiency of Filtration Systems Implemented in Railway Stations

Key highlights of the article

  • Particulate matter (PM) was continuously monitored in a Parisian underground railway station over a five-year period.
  • Two distinct filtration experiments were conducted during the measurement period.
  • For each filtration system, comparable filtration performances were evaluated using both the DAC and GAM approaches.
  • The DAC approach relies solely on PM time series, whereas the GAM approach incorporates additional parameters to identify and quantify the main influencing factors.
